I have been around horses since I was a kid on a farm in Wisconsin. I have always been fascinated by the horse-human relationship - why do they connect with us and generously give of themselves?

This question has driven my lifelong pursuit of horsemanship at its best. Having a close, connected, trusting relationship with my horse is the foundation for everything we do together, no matter the discipline.
This idea was put to the test in the 2021 Georgia Equine Rescue Challenge in which I had 120 days to train a nearly feral horse and display our progress. The sweet horse I was assigned was named Braveheart and he lived up to his name. We were able to demonstrate the mutual trust and connection we had developed, and were rewarded with winning the competition!

Most recently I have focused on dressage as the "next level" of the horse-human partnership. Making what we do together an intimate, invisible bond where we can dance and play together.
​
But that is just my personal goal. Whatever yours is, I would love to be part of the process in helping you reach yours with you and your horse. At the heart of it, it is all about relationship: trust, communication, consistency, and joy.
